Buccal fat removal is not a ‘face-thinning’ operation — it balances contour in the lower midface. A small intra-oral incision allows a controlled amount of fat to be removed. Over-resection is avoided; volume is agreed after Vectra 3D analysis. In selected patients it can be removed during a deep-plane facelift without an extra incision.

Buccal fat pads sit in the deep cheek, in front of the masseter. When genetically full they round the lower face. Removal is controlled through an intra-oral incision with absorbable sutures. Dr. Hasan Kara frames the procedure as contour balancing, not face slimming.
